This design for an elementary prototype has been successfully adapted to meet the needs of the Charlotte County Public School District.

This complete project consisted of the planning, programming, architecture, and construction administration for five, two-story, 117,000 square foot elementary schools:

• Sallie Jones (2002)
• Neil Armstrong (2007 LEED NC V2.2 Certified)
• Peace River (2007 LEED NC V2.2 Silver Certified)
• East Elementary (2008 LEED for Schools V3 Silver Certified)
• Meadow Park (2010 LEED for Schools V2009 Gold Certified) 

The program began with the design and construction of Sallie Jones while classes continued to operate in existing adjacent facilities.

The core program of the prototype was designed for 904 student stations and includes administration, media center, clinic, cafetorium with a stage located adjacent to the music suite.

Four of the five schools received LEED certification.
